Thermal Paper is a type of specially coated processing paper. Its surface is coated with a microcapsule layer containing a color developer, leuco dye (colorless dye), and a sensitizer. When the paper is heated, the microcapsules rupture, allowing the color developer to react chemically with the leuco dye, thereby producing color to form text or images. Since it requires no ink cartridges, ribbons, or other consumables and only necessitates a thermal printhead for printing, thermal paper offers advantages such as high efficiency, convenience, and environmental friendliness.
